Born more than 100,000 years ago, Mount Epomeo is the highest peak on the island of Ischia with its 789 meters. In reality it is a submarine volcano that emerges from the water and from whose activity, according to the volcanological history of Ischia, the volcanoes of Barano, Montevezzi, Capogrosso, S.Pancrazio, Citara and Sant’Angelo were formed.
