Tour to the ruins of Pompeii and Vesuvius departing from the island of Ischia

The archaeological site was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. and the remains of houses, shops and brothels provide an extraordinary insight into life during the Roman Empire.
The work was rediscovered by the Spanish military engineer Rocque Joaquin de Alcubierre during excavations in 1748 which revealed a series of intact buildings and frescoes which the King of Naples, Charles Bourbon, was very interested in and which he used to strengthen his power political and cultural Naples.
Afterwards the bus tour will continue to Vesuvius to explore the volcano that buried Pompeii spewing clouds of ash and stones at a rate of 1.5 million tons per second which reached a height of 33 kilometers (20.5 miles) releasing 100,000 times the strength of the thermal energy of the Hiroshima bombings.

Return from Naples at 7.00pm
(The arrival in Pompeii is scheduled for 10.30 am while the departure from Pompeii for Vesuvius is scheduled for 1.30 pm. Return from Vesuvius to the port of Naples at 4.30 pm with arrival around 5.30 pm)
